About the Buildings at Risk Project –
Do you need a flexible volunteering opportunity to enhance your professional and personal development?
Become a Buildings at Risk Volunteer and help us to save, sustain and champion the built heritage of the West Midlands.
There are c13,000 Grade II listed buildings in our region of the West Midlands. With an innovative approach, and the power of volunteers, we plan to complete a condition survey of each and every one.
Our aim is to identify which buildings are most at-risk, as this will help us to focus support and investment towards the most vulnerable buildings. It will also get people out-and-about, actively engaging with their local heritage.
About the Session –
The aim of this session is to support new and existing volunteers as they sign up to become Buildings at Risk champion .
We will provide a short introduction to the project, and then work through the training module, get everyone signed up and then get out into the community to complete some condition surveys.
