Birnbeck Pier in Weston-super-Mare opened in 1863 and has seen many uses, including traditional pleasure use, as a base for the RNLI from 1882, and even as a weapons development site during WWII.

Repeatedly damaged by fire and storms over the course of its life, Birnbeck Pier fell into neglect and disrepair, until recent years when the Birnbeck Regeneration Trust have been successful in their efforts to secure a future for this historic pier.

Join us for an online talk by Peter Lander of the Birnbeck Regeneration Trust to learn about the history of this fascinating site, the campaign to rescue it, and plans for the future.
