The Worcestershire Building Preservation Trust (WBPT)
Worcestershire Building Preservation Trust was originally established in 1964 covering the County of Hereford and Worcester but was amended to cover the County of Worcestershire only, in 1998. We are a registered charity and can act as a not for profit developer to secure long term sustainable futures for listed buildings at serious risk.
By 2011, and having completed seven rescue projects, the Trust was struggling to keep going and sought assistance from West Midlands Historic Buildings Trust. A new project in Kidderminster was identified and WBPT gained a new lease of live. The Trusts continue to lend support to each other’s endeavours and share a trustee board.
